I don't know why I keep writing songfics, or just plain fics about this certain catastrophe of Ace being trapped in Impel Down, awaiting his execution. There's not enough about it. And it's such a, dare I say, fun, topic to write about. Well, HisLittleLabrat showed me this song awhile back and I heard it on the radio yesterday, and I thought about a songfics. The rest, I'm just winging it. ; I guess this is a continuation of Time of Dying.

Ace stood on the platform, looking down to the Marines and Citizens alike from around the world, watching him, awaiting his end. He was brutally shoved to get onto his knees and lean over, exposing his neck. The second fleet commander knew that Luffy was thinking of him; it made him smirk, even though this was the end.
At least Luffy was next to him, in brotherhood.
It's
not like I'm walking alone into the valley of the shadow of
death
Stand beside one another, 'cause it ain't over yet
Luffy was there. Ace saw, in the back of the crowd, his little brother. It made Ace chuckle what he looked like: His eyes piercing through everyone, and everything around him, fists clenched-The seventeen year old was giving off an aura, making the people around him dizzy. Pure will, and determination. Ace figured what seeing his older brother, his only family. Dragon was never there. Ace was Luffy's father figure. So was Shanks, but Shanks wasn't always there. He had to leave, and go on adventures. Ace was always there. Those three years had been the most difficult, alone. Ace felt cold steel on the back of his neck. He licked his lips and clenched his teeth as the executioner lifted his blade. The blade swung down. But nothing happened. He dared to look up. Luffy had his fist lodged into every officer's, and the executioner's faces. At the same time. Ace laughed. Damn you, Luffy. And in one fell swoop, the fuming little brother had gotten his older sibling out of the shackles. The Seastone never had a chance against Luffy's Second Gear speed. Then, they were back to back, fists of flame and pure speed and will. "Ready?" "Ready."
I'd
be willing to bet that if we don't back down
You and I will be the
ones that are holding the Crown in the end
When it's over, we can
say, "Well done"
But not yet, 'cause it's only begun
The
Marines never stopped coming. But to be honest, the two brothers
weren't afraid. They were laughing.
So,
pick up, and follow me, we're the only ones
To fight this thing,
until we've won
We drive on and don't look back
It doesn't mean
we can't learn from our past
All the things that we mighta done
wrong
We could've been doing this all along
I'm
never gonna hear the end of this, Ace realized, laughing. "Watch
it, Lu!" He tore a man off his giggling sibling.
Everybody,
with your fists raised high And
we'll be carrying on, until the day it doesn't matter anymore
Let me hear your battle cry
tonight
Stand beside, or step aside
We're on the frontline
Step
aside, you forgot what this is for
We fight to live, we live to
fight
And tonight, you'll hear my battle cry
We live our lives
on the frontlines
We're not afraid of the fast times
These days
have opened up my eyes
And now, I see where the threat lies
We've
got to lead the way
The brothers started a revolution.
