Neb: writing this kind of pairing is a little knew to me, but I was asked as a request by gmilena123. One shot pairing of femnarutox Shikimaru. Takes place in Chunin Exams where Shikimaru realizes he likes the blond girl who isn't as mean as Ino, but she holds a presence that sort of gives him energy.

Shikamaru: Right, me x Naruto... wait what?

Neb: Calm down, I'm doing fem Naruto which is basically Naruko, but I'll just call her Naru.

Shikamaru: I.. whatever, just right the fic.

Neb: K.

He didn't know what it was, but something about her made him really warm inside. He just felt overpowered by the smile with her whisker like marks. Shikimaru decided to just ignore the feeling however. He didn't see why he should bother with such troublesome feelings about Naru, and he sure as hell wasn't going to gain the energy to deal with them.

"Hey Shikamaru," Ino growled. "Focus on your test."

Shikamaru looked over at a man who was scribbling down her talking to him. He gave her a look that told her to shut the hell up or their team will lose on the first round. Ino looked back at her paper trying to ignore Shikamaru now and Choji sighed in relief from across the room.

Sasuke gave an annoyed stare at Shikamaru for some reason, but Shikamaru just yawned it off. Why the hell should he care what the Uchiha bitch thinks? (Sasuke also girl) Shikamaru looked back at his paper and decided to check his answers over, to get his mind off of it.

"Sir, a boy stood up, I can finish the damn test easily, but I want to take this moment and say that girl looks fine as hell."

Shikamaru looked over at the boy. He was from the land of Lightning Shikamaru believes. What the hell was he doing here, Shikamaru had no Idea. He looked over at who he was talking about and realized it was Naru. "Well, he's dead," Shikamaru thought knowing Naru would punch him out like any other Leaf Village girl, but... Naru was laughing. Giggling actually to his comment and so were some of the other girls in the room. Shikamaru growled under his breath. Was there a strategy he missed, was being straight forward a strategy. He told everyone in the room what he thought of Naru and she wasn't embarrassed. Shikamaru's eyes widened when he saw Naru wink back at the guy who seated back down after getting scolded by one of his teammates. Omoi had a smile of triumph, as if he just completed the entire Chunin exams and got a date. Wait what, where was the strategy, what did Shikamaru miss. His eyes widened when he realized that the man was just laying back in his chair. He didn't even care about the test anymore. All the guy had to do now was be patient. Shikamaru found himself getting angry. Naru shouldn't be with the cocky bastard, she should be with him.

"Naru, will you go out with me," Shikamaru yelled. Naru looked over at him shocked. It was a fifty fifty chance she'd say yes after that, but he needed to take that chance now more than ever.

"Of course I will," she smiled.

"No more interruptions," one of the men who watched over them yelled. Shikamaru sat back down and smiled as he saw the one guy Omoi stick a lollipop in his mouth and grin at Naru who gave a thumbs up to him. She plotted this, she used the other guy to get Shikamaru to ask her out except the other guy didn't seem to care.

"Now other girls will love me, wait I'm over thinking it. But then again if they did, wouldn't that lead them down the path of... Suicide. What have I done. Naru you witch!"

"Troublesome woman."

"No take backs!"

Alright then, I know Omoi wasn't suppose to be in this Chunin Exam story, but I thought, why not add him to the first batch of Genin. I hope you enjoyed and please review! :)
