Prompt: Your Guardian Angel, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
It didn't matter that he was a full-fledged hunter, or that he hated her (and possibly wished her dead). He was still the little boy she had cleaned the blood off of, the one who cooked for her, tutored her, and sat outside her door when she was ill. He was her best friend. He was the only person that knew about her parfait addiction, her morning routine and how to comfort her when she was scared. He was cold and brusque, but he cared. At least, he did...
Yuuki turned over and buried her face in her pillow as she sobbed. Yes, it was Zero that was her angel, and always would be.
She was his angel.
She was the only light in his soul, the only reason he ever smiled, his only way to heaven. She was his life. And nothing could ever change that.
It didn't really matter that she was now a pureblood. When he heard the rumors floating around the association, that she was offering "execution services" to any other pureblood that had lost the will to live so they wouldn't resort to taking an innocent life, he knew the old Yuuki was still there. She was the only one with that particular
combination of sweet selflessness and just plain stupidity, and apparently, not even becoming a bloodsucker could change that.
Zero couldn't help but to laugh softly, a gentle, slightly exasperated smile on his lips. Yes, his angel was still there.
Teeny-Tiny! :)
