A/N: Again, this is based on one of my prompt for a challange i am doing with my friends... I hope everyone likes!
Disclaimer: I do not own silent witness…. Wish I did, it is such a brilliant show!
Nikki and Harry sat at a coffee shop with a cup of coffee each sitting on the table. Harry was watching Nikki who was looking around at all the other people in the coffee shop. She grabbed her coffee and took a sip, ignoring Harry's gaze.
"So we got the weekend off… finally. What do you plan to do?" Harry asked Nikki taking a sip of his coffee. She looked up at him. "I plan to find myself the perfect guy," she replied, going back to her looking.
"What? One who can understand the job you do?" Harry asked.
"Yes," Nikki replied "I am alone every weekend, and, let's face it, all I do is work. I think it is time for a change."
Harry took a long sip of his coffee before commenting. "Is there any particular reason you want to find a guy?"
She shrugged. "Not really, I just feel like it is time you know."
"Well, if you want my advice… the prefect man is right in front of you." Harry said standing up. He took one last sip of his coffee. "See you back at work," he winked and then walked out of the coffee shop.
Nikki sat there thinking about what he had just said. The perfect guy was right in front of her. Could he be right? Was he right in front of her? The more she thought about it, the more she realised he was right. The perfect man was right in front of her, and she had been so blind she had missed it.
She finished her coffee and slowly walked out of the store and back to work, wandering how she had been so blind, she had missed him, all this time. Once she got to work, she went off in search of Harry. She found him in his office. She closed the door behind her and he looked up.
"You were right, the perfect guy, was right in front of me!"
