It was the middle of the night, most of the time she was at home with her older sister. But she was pissed at Eric, her older sister always got everything. Her wings flapped to keep her in the air, her dirty blond hair was pulled back in a braid. She pulled it out and let her hair unravel.
A tall slender man walked along the forest floor. He made no sounds as he stepped. He was following a young girl around the age of five. The little girl had long navy blue hair and was in a little purple dress that had white lace on the collar, sleeves and at the bottom of the dress.
She skipped and looked back at Felix. He grinned at her and ran at her. The girl screamed, it had a hint of giggle in it. Felix smiled and picked her up, "Hello my dear!" He smiled happily and hugged her.
When Erin hears a scream she loses her focus and starts falling. Erin tried to cry out but she had no voice to scream. She pulled her wings out, but couldn't grab the wind. Pulling them in as she hits the tree line.
"Ahhh..." Her voice came but to late because, in a few norm seconds she would be as flat as a pancake.
Felix heard the girl falling through the trees and ran to were he knew she would fall. He caught her in his arms and smiled. Erin felt someone holding her, she opened her eyes and saw the guy smiling at her.
"Thanks." She looked at the ground then back at him.
"Your welcome." He said in a deep voice. Felix set Erin down and looked at the little girl. "Merideth, come." He said as the little girl ran to him. Felix put his arm over Merideth. He let his wings grow through his back and he spread them out. The little girl did the same but hers were like dove wings, unlike his. His were like bat wings.
Erin looked at the two. Seeing their wings, she opens hers,"How did you get your wings?" She had her wings opens but they were folded on her back.
"I was born with them," Felix said, "She had them genetically made." He added.
"I am the oldest one in my family with wings." She looks at them. "My name is Erin." She waved at the little girl and put her hand out for the guy.
"I'm Felix and this is Merideth." He shook her hand, "Merideth...say hello." The little girl waved gently.
