This isn't my first poem, but it is my first Harry Potter themed poem. Tell me what you think. This is Remus mourning over Sirius after the fall through the veil. Also, I don't go into any graphic detail about this, but in my mind, Remus and Sirius were lovers, and I do say in the poem 'a lover gone' so yeah. Can't wait to hear from you!
Long black hair,
Stormy gray eyes,
Both features dulled through the passage of time.
A short sweet laugh,
A whispered note,
Happiness played across the face.
This vision taunts,
The memories haunt,
The pain of love lost long ago.
He cries to the moon.
Cries over a broken promise.
His love's broken promise
Never to leave.
Broken so long ago,
But still a thorn in his tortured soul.
His lover died
No hero's death
An arching fall
The living wept.
Death seems no reason
To lose pure love
A best friend gone
A companion gone
A lover gone
Gone.
Gone forever, evermore
'Tis more than true love can endure.
