Chapter one- Pick ME. Choose ME. Love ME.
"So pick me, choose me, love me." Meredith said, tears falling from her eyes. "I'll be at Joe's to tonight" she continued, "If you sign the papers, then meet me there." She walked out the scrub room and went to go change.
3 hours later-
Meredith was sitting at the bar ordering her 4th shot of tequila from Joe. "You sure sweetheart?" Joe asked his friend. "Of course I'm sure!"
After singing 3 songs on karaoke and having 2 more shots, Meredith heard the bell on the door ring again and didn't even bother to look back. "UGH! He's not coming!" She sobbed and put her head on the counter.
She saw Joe do a double take at the door and he smiled. Meredith gave him a questioning look.
"You sure about that?" Joe asked and pointed to someone behind her.
Meredith looked behind her and...
"Wha- DEREK!" Derek smiled then they wrapped their arms around each other. Tears were streaming down her face and was soaking through Derek's jacket. "I thought you would never come" she whispered in his ear. He pulled away and saw the the tears in her eyes. "Why wouldn't I come, Mer." He kissed her forehead and looked at her. "I picked YOU. I'm choosing YOU. I'm in love with YOU." He said.
She smiled then kissed him. That's all she ever wanted. Just to feel his lips on hers. She leaned her forehead against her's and smiled. "I love you." she whispered. "I love you more" He responded and kissed her until they were interrupted by Joe saying "It's about time! Everyone can I get a around if applause for this beautiful couple!" and everyone started clapping.
