Star crossed Lovers

Lovely gold with sparkling white

the gown flows long like a stream

she descends like a water nymph with her

river flowing behind her

with inhuman grace she comes closer

with ethereal beauty

lightly tanned skin

ebony tresses with cobalt strands mixing

eyes the shade of the deepest bluest ocean

No one can compare

At least not in the eyes of her prince

he waits at the bottom

silver hair shining under the light of a chandelier

he watches her

only love shown in his golden eyes

as their eyes meet they smile

she stops just in front of him

he bows low to her

she bows low to him

he reaches out to her

and she gladly accepts his hand

they dance the night away

the clock strikes 12 and everything blurs

the ballroom

the other dancers

each other

the lights go out

the music fades

and the two lovers

wake up to realize

they had never met

they now bare the burden

of never being able to realize

The love of their life

lives right

across

the street
