Darkness
"You can't keep hiding it inside, Twilight." Slade taunts me.
"Hiding what? I have nothing to hide." But deep down inside I know it's a lie. The teen titans don't know many things about me, such as my age, my past, my species, and what I keep secretly in my room.
"Don't lie, Twilight. The darkness is strong inside of you, I can tell. I don't know why you are a Titan when you could just as easily be a villain, my apprentice." I stared at him with cold blank eyes. The main reason I'm with the Titans is to keep me on the good side. If I wasn't I don't know what would happen to me, or to anyone else.
"I'm not your apprentice because I choose not to be. I want to be on the good side. I try to keep some light in me." I say strongly, but not as strongly as before. All the stuff he's saying is actually getting to me. At the same time it's ticking me off. I know I am darker than I give myself credit for.
"You can't just forget it and bottle it up, hiding it in your clothes." I look down at myself in my half black half pink tutu, my black tank top and hoodie, and my necktie. "You are much like Raven, much power inside of you, but you refuse to realize it. You could even help her with her destiny to destroy the world. You two could both be very useful to the world of evil. If you can survive a fight, that is." What does that mean? I wish he would just leave me alone.
"Why can't you just leave both me and Raven alone, leave everyone alone?!" I cry to him. All he did was torture everyone, never stopping about the apprentice thing. I hate him with everything that I am. I live to fight evil like him.
"Why would I do that?" Slade alleges with his smooth voice. My first thought was to reply with "Because I want you to!", but I knew I couldn't in front of Slade. I just stared at him blankly, not showing any emotion. "See, you do just bottle up your emotions, but you really do have them. Don't pretend." I can't believe I am standing here, talking to him instead of fighting him. But then again, I guess I don't really have a choice. He picked me up by my arm. "Don't you recognize where you are?" I hadn't really been paying attention to that. I now looked around and realized we were in the cave I always go to when I really really wanted privacy. How did he know about this place? "Looks like your privacy has been invaded." Slade says as he throws me against the floor.
"I don't have a problem with who I am, thanks." I snarled to Slade.
"Ah, but who you are is a dark creature, my dear." Slade stares at me with his one eye that's showing.
"No, but it can be changed!" I yell defiantly.
"Or can it?" Then everything goes black.
