Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter...

A/N: My first purely Draco/Ginny fic. I've always loved the pairing, there's something about opposites attract, the Gryffindor/Slytherin relationship that interests me more than other pairings.

As always, please read and review, I love getting feedback.

They'd been meeting like this for a month now. In the Room of Requirement.

Ginny didn't know what drew her to him, why she was risking her friendship with ... well, all of her friends. But there was something about the way that Draco Malfoy made her feel that she could not deny.

He was different around her, sweet even. She saw a side of him that none of her friends would ever believe existed. And while she wished she could tell someone, even Hermione or Lavender, she knew that it would ruin what she had with him.

She was also afraid what her parents would think, because of course, Lavender would tell Ron, or Hermione would tell Harry, and then all the Weasleys would know about. She shuddered to think what Fred and George would do to Draco if they found out. What her father would do to Lucius Malfoy...

She pushed her thoughts away as Draco entered the room, the door closing noiselessly behind him, keeping the rest of the school from finding out about them.

"Hey," he said quietly, sitting next to her on the rug by the fire.

"Hey," she said back, leaning into his embrace.

Her friends could never understand the way she felt when she was around him, the trust, the understanding ... the love.

"How was your day?" he asked her, summoning a few pillows for them to rest on.

"It was okay," she told him. "I missed you. I wanted to talk to you after Potions, but Harry and Hermione were there."

Ginny, being very adept at Potions, had been able to join the Seventh Year Potions class.

"I saw you too, but Crabbe and Goyle were with me, so I just went back to the common room," he told her, laying back.

Ginny sighed. "Will there ever be a day when we can be together, around other people?"

Draco looked over at her, guilty for her sadness. "I can ask Snape if he can partner us up tomorrow," he suggested.

"And he'd go for that?" Ginny wondered, looking up at her ... boyfriend? "Wouldn't he figure out that we're ... you know?"

Draco chuckled slightly. "Snape's a pretty sharp man, Ginny. He actually came to talk to me last week, about us. He'd noticed us, I guess looking at each other in class, and read my mind, which don't get mad, I gave him permisson to, as member of the Order. Anyway, he saw the way I felt about you, and he wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing."

Ginny looked beyond surprised. "Okay ... well, then I guess it would be okay to ask him if we could partner up."

Draco smiled. "I just want you to be happy."

"I am happy, when I'm with you. I can't really explain it, but I never thought I'd feel this way. I think ..." she trailed off, looking down at her hands.

"You think you what?"

Ginny shook her head. "I don't want to ruin this."

Draco tipped her chin upwards with his finger, looking her in the eye. "Nothing you can say could ruin this, and if it makes you feel better ... I love you, too."

Ginny couldn't believe her ears, and was entirely speechless. So instead of voicing how she felt, she decided to show him. Grabbing him by the collar of his shirt, she pulled him into a searing, wonderful, everlasting kiss, thanking the stars that she'd found someone as wonderful as Draco Malfoy.

The End. I hope you enjoyed it, and please leave a review. Thanks!
