The Rebel Alliance was in an uproar.
They knew Lord Vader, knew how he operated, and knew how to evade him. They could take certain chances with Vader in charge.
But Lord Vader was dead by the Emperor's Hand, and by the Emperor's orders, replaced by a young woman - no more than a girl, really - that some called Vader's spawn and others called soulless.
Everything had changed in the space of a moment, the moment of Vader's death.
