I wrote this in ICT. I was really bored.

Disclamer: I, unfortunatly, don't own CSI NY, or the CSI franchise. All I own is the story line.

(A/N: Based on an episoed I saw... Where there was two half's of a body were found under two containers on the docks. And in trying to find out who killed him, Mac almost get's killed, Stella saves the day by dragging him out of the way in time. This is what shes thinking about, when a suprise comes to her door.)

Stella sat on her settee, a stone cold coffee lay forgotten in her hands. Her legs were curled under her; deep in thought. Staring at the blank, dark, T.V screen in front of her.

She was thinking about him… About the latest case they wrapped up. But it nearly cost another life… The one she loved. She replayed the moment in her head. How she grabbed him, and shouted for him to get out of the way.

But her imagination was in full motion, twisting it into something even more gruesome. But that wasn't what was bothering her; it was the fact that she hadn't seized the moment and took it for her own.

Stella's house phone was ringing and she nearly jumped out of her skin, almost dropping the cold coffee on the floor.

"Hello?" She said, tiredness flooding up to her like a wave a collision course.

"Hey," the voice on the other end spoke. "I never really thanked you for saving my life today…" Mac said.

"Where are you?" Stella asked, shocked at the fact Mac was saying thank you for something she did on impulse.

"Out side your door, waiting for you to open the door…" He said. Stella stood up, placing the coffee on the counter top on her way to the door. "You will open the door?" He asked asking, a little out of your depth here.

"You wait and see," She said to him, smiling a little bit at the stupid-ness of the question. "I'll have to call you back." she said and hung up, she swung open the door and there stood Mac Taylor. Smiling.

"I bought Coffee!" He said and Stella lead him in.

A/N; Yeah I know it's short, but it's a hour lesson and I only had five minuets left so... This is the result of that....
