A Day in the Life of Ross

(Scene: Ross' Apartment, Ross has just woken up and is heading for the bathroom) Ross: I'm a paleontologist, I study dinosaurs, they are amazing, to mention a few: Tyrannosaurus-Rex, Pterodactyl. (Starts cleaning his teeth when he hears the doorbell, stops using his toothbrush and opens door) Ross: Rachel? What the heck are you doing here? Rachel: Can I stay here for a few days? Ross: What do you mean? Rachel: No Phoebe sort of kicked me out. Ross: Phoebe kicked you out? Our Phoebe who thinks I study dragons? Rachel: Well, I did wreck her toilet and flood her apartment. Ross: You what? Rachel: Well it was dark! Ross: I've heard of something called a light switch. Rachel: The power was out. Ross: Well I guess I could sleep on my sofa cum bed. Rachel: Oh my God. Thanks SO much Ross.
(Scene: Central Perk later on in the morning, the Friends are sitting around the table except Phoebe who has just walked in) Rachel: Hey guys, I'm living with Ross now. Monica: Why is that? Phoebe: I kicked her out cause she flooded my apartment. Chandler: You flooded Phoebe's apartment? Joey: With what? Rachel: With orange juice Joey, and some Jam. Joey: Jam! I love jam. Phoebe: No silly with toilet water! Joey: Toilet water and jam, that doesn't go well, believe me. Ross: Anyway, it's just a bit awkward right now. (Looks at Phoebe) Hey Phoebes, you seem quite happy now, are you still mad at Rachel? Phoebe: Oh no, I'm totally cool with how she filled my apartment with water from the toilet. Joey: Seriously? Phoebe: OK, do I look bonkers to you? Ross: Oh come on Phoebe! Rachel: Please? Phoebe: Oh well, NO. Ross: Well; now I've given up. Rachel: OK, now I've gotta go to work. Everyone: Bye.
(Scene: Ross' Apartment, Ross is reading dinosaur book, Rachel walks in) Rachel: Hi Ross! Ross (jumps up from chair): Why did you scare me like that? Rachel: I just said hi, and weren't you the one who gave me the lecture about "Unagi", the state of total awareness, which by the way I still think is a type of sushi? Ross: Yes, I finally taught you to achieve that. Rachel: You mean when Phoebe & me tackled you on the floor? Ross: I let you do that! Rachel: Really? Ross: Hey, listen, I am letting you live here till miss anti-pottery barn allows you back into her apartment, I don't have to put up with your wisecracks! Rachel: Ross, you do or you don't, I know you, you will put up with them. Ross: I will not. Rachel: Oh you sweetie, don't worry, you will. Ross: OK, let's just forget about it! Rachel: Fine!
(Central Perk, evening, Ross, Monica, & Chandler are sitting on the couch) Monica: Hey don't you think that Elizabeth is a bit too young for you? Ross: No, she's perfect for me right now. Chandler: Well, maybe you shouldn't marry this one. (Ross glares at him, Rachel walks in) Rachel: You could marry her, just don't divorce this one. Chandler: One thing I don't know is where Phoebe is staying. (Joey walks in, hears Chandler) Joey: Oh, you guys don't know she's staying with me? Ross: I had no idea.
(Scene: Ross' Apartment, late night, Rachel is watching TV, Ross is trying to go to sleep) Ross: DO YOU MIND? Rachel: Oh sorry, I'll go to sleep now. Ross: Goodnight, THANK GOD! Rachel: Goodnight Ross.
