Can anyone help me with an issue I've got? I'm trying to find a Star Wars fic but not having any success. It's set between the 'Jedi Apprentice' series and 'The Phantom Menace'. From what I remember the basic plot is this; the training bound between Qui-gon Jinn and his first padawan, Xanatos, was never fully severed. Xanatos becomes Sidious's apprentice after faking his death on Telos. After a wile Sidious decides to get rid of him by sending him on a suicide mission. Xanatos knows that Sidious doesn't plan on him coming back alive, but he does anyway. When he returns he is severely weakened and is chaptered and tortured by Maul. After Maul leaves him to die Xanatos calls out to Qui-Gon for help through what's left of their bound.
