The following is dedicated to Drodgers89. It's a tribute to Jessica Parker, Daniel's getting sentimental and thinking of the ARC members while on his vacation with Alice.
(Just a note to everyone else that this is based off of the Formspring Roleplay, hence all the OC references.)
Daniel leaned back in his chair, his thoughts undisturbed by the glistening waves that shattered on the wet morning beach.
Six Months today. It seems amazing, that even through everything everyone's been through, that it's only been six months since Becker and Jess got together. I could never imagine an ARC without Jess. She's simply done so much. Too much, some would say. She's gone beyond the call of duty on too many occasions to count, and for that we owe her our lives.
The simple truth was that she was always there. Some could call the ability a gift, or a curse, or even both, but there was no denying the fact that she was always there.
When Elise needed a mother, she was there to take her in, to give her a home, something steadfast that would not disappear.
When Becker needs a companion, someone to be with, to wrap his arms around at the end of the day, she is there for him.
When I needed someone to talk with, she was there to listen.
When Anna needed someone to pour her emotions to, when no-one else would, she was there to receive and comfort.
In everyone's darkest hour, she was always there for them.
Daniel grinned, watching as several gulls looped gracefully through the brisk morning air.
And not once has she ever asked for anything back for what she did. She just made sure she was there for everyone; whether it be as a companion, consultant, adviser, or, possibly the most vital of all: a friend to all those around her who needed one.
