"The Scientist" - Coldplay
The Walking Dead interp.
001:
The music begins with lonesome and timid Milton, hustling about behind the Governor, desperately trying to warn him what he's doing is wrong. The Governor, being as though he is never supportive toward another's words, continues walking on, his remaining grey hue refusing to do as little as glance at the researcher whimpering behind him. Milton shrugs his shoulders and and slows his pace, allowing Philip to continue stancing away.
002:
A new scene is produced, depicting greyscale clips of when the two men saw eye-to-eye, but within five seconds, the scene changes to sepia-based clips of the two arguing, the final consisting of Philip grabbing Milton up by the collar of his jacket and slamming him against the wall.
003:
The camera quickly fades to black, and as the song slowly fades away with it, the darkness slowly fades into a blur, taking place in Milton's field of view. Fists are flying at his face, and the Governor's forceful voice is faded. Milton now realises, in order to fix the Governor, he must go back to the starting point again - but it's too late.
004:
The camera fades again and pans back in on a closing of Milton's dying face, allowing him to mutter his last words to Andrea. As Milton's body grows weak, the camera zooms in on his eye slowly and fades to black in his pupil.
005:
The music clip ends, with pure darkness, only an echoing of "The Scientist" remaining:
"Nobody said it was easy-
Oh, it's such a shame for us to part.
Nobody said it was easy-
No-one ever said it would be so hard.
I'm going back to the start."
