Ino flicked a stand of loose blonde hair behind her ear. Sighing, she looked up at the sky and watched the clouds drift by overhead. It was a lovely Spring afternoon, the perfect day for a picnic. And that was exactly what Ino had planned. Yet, there was no one there to eat with her.
"Ino-chaaaan!" Ino jumped as she was hugged from behind. She blushed as her cheek was kissed and looked at who had hugged her.
"Karin, you actually remember!" Ino gasped, sitting on her knees and grinning at the brow haired girl. How strange was it, that now the two were as close as they could possible me, when at the beginning of their journey they had been so frightened.
"Of COURSE I remembered." scoffed Karin, leaning forwards towards Ino before kissing her. Ino melted under the touch of Karin's lips, and then hugged her. The two girls laughed as they fell onto the grass, comfortably entwined, eyes closed.
"You wanna eat now...?" Ino asked timidly a few moments later after they had relaxed. Karin's reply was sitting up and crawling over to the picnic basket. She opened it and peered inside.
"Oh, no you did not!" A grin spread on Karin's face and she turned towards Ino, eyes sparkling with anticipation. "You brought CAKE!" she laughed, as Ino giggled, nodding. Ino put her hands in the basket and brought out the treat, opening the plastic container. A playful grin crossed her lips and she grabbed a plastic spoon. She scooped up some of the cake with the spoon, before shoving it into Karin's mouth.
"I-Ino-chan!? Whad wad tad fo'?" (What was that for?) asked Karin, swallowing the cake that had been forced into her mouth. Ino smirked, leaning forwards, and before Karin had a chance to respond, she kissed her full on the lips.
"Ino...You..." Karin's voice was faint.
"Yep. I bought the cake JUST so I could see what you thought. I want you to compare the sweetness of the cake with the sweetness of my kisses. What do you think?" Ino smirked at Karin's childish blush. "Do I have to kiss you again...?" Ino murmured, voice very seductful.
Karin didn't have time to answer, because Ino had always began to kiss her again. The kisses were gentle, kind at first, but it didn't last long as both of their hearts began to speed up.
Finally, Karin showed some resistance. "Ino, we really shouldn't. We're in the middle of a public park and—"
"An EMPTY park." scoffed Ino, who didn't bother to remove her hand from the small of Karin's back.
"Fine, but can we please just...relax today? Please? Your kisses were as sweet as the cake, probably sweeter." Karin said, complimenting Ino. The blonde shrugged, and moved off of Karin's lap, before taking a bite of the cake.
Karin was either exaggerating, or Ino was a very good kisser — because DAMN! That cake was sweet.
