A/N: Just something that I was thinking of and wanted to put out there. I don't know if this has been done before.

Diary,

Today is going to be Kurt's first day back in McKinley High. Now that Karofsky apologized he can finally feel safe in school. And now that he has Blaine he won't feel as lonely either. Everything is finally perfect in the world of Kurt Hummel.

Is it bad that I wish he had stayed in Dalton? I know that this is where he belongs, with New Directions but I can't help but think that the only reason he ever became my friend was because he was in Dalton. If it wasn't for the fact that he needed a song to sing for his audition for the solo in the Warblers' performance they would probably never even have talked again. I would have heard about what happened to him from Mercedes and maybe even Finn but I would never have him as a friend.

So there it is. The only person I could ever call a friend was only a friend because he didn't have to deal with me every day. But now he'll have to. And now he'd probably forget that he had been to the Lima Bean with me voluntarily. And I'll have to forget what it was like when someone called me for boy-advice and what it was like to have someone to complain to who listened.

Maybe we weren't friends to begin with. Maybe we were just acquaintances with common interests.

Well even if I lose a friend over this at least now I know how I've improved. The last time I felt threatened I sent an innocent girl to a crack-house albeit an inactive one. Now I'm just...wallowing in self pity and doubt.

Yours (And probably yours alone as of now)

"Diva, what have we talked about? Yellow ochre is an ugly colour and does not belong on socks, especially not when you're wearing a cute new red dress that I picked out!" Kurt chides, looping his arm through hers leading a confused Rachel away from where she was walking towards her locker and dragged her to where Mercedes stood checking her weave in a mirror . "Mercedes, we need to have a sockvention!"

"That's a sock intervention." Rachel explained with a smirk, the veiled reference going over Kurt's head but causing a grin to break out on Mercedes' face.

Even as she was hustled into the girl's room, the grin on her face never left, nor did the shine in her eyes. And against all of her expectations, her friends didn't leave either.
