Tsubasa Chronicles

Pairing: Kurogane and Princess Tomoyo

Summary: Kurogane is lonely and he wants to be with Princess Tomoyo. He thinks about what she said and comes to a conclusion of what he thinks she meant. (Please don't flame this, it's only my first try!)

Kurogane sighed. He was lonely but he wouldn't admit it. He turned his head to gaze down the green hillside; it was lush and full of colorful flowers. He was wearing a plain looking kimono; he treasured it beyond anything else. Almost anything.

Her memory hit him like an arrow, it was driven deeper still by the sight of Syaoran and Sakura being together at the bottom of the hill. Tomoyo… he thought to himself; his heart was restless and it longed to hear her small voice once again ordering him around.

Tomoyo's voice still rung, if only faintly, in his head: "You will meet a great many new people. It is there that you will learn the true meaning of strength."

The true meaning of strength, huh? He thought to himself with a weak grin, never taking his eyes off Sakura and Syaoran sitting in the shade of a tree, talking with Fai and Mokona. After a few long moments he couldn't bear to look down on them any longer and he raised his face to the sky.

Is this what you meant by the meaning of strength, Tomoyo? Is my strength them?

Kurogane smiled widely and closed his eyes as if he was consenting to some order of the Princess's. "I guess I'll help Syaoran and Sakura, even that idiot Fai, but Mokona…well…I'll have to think that one over." He said in a quiet, rough, voice. He opened his eyes to the multi colored clouds above him and the smile vanished. "I'll do it for you, Tomoyo. I'll come back one day to you, so wait a while longer…"

With that, Kurogane stood, rested his blade on his shoulder, and trudged down the slope towards the others, his heart feeling no less heavy.
