So, once again a story has taken on a life of its own while writing it. When I started I didn't intend for this kind of ending, but it just kind of happened that way. Haha. I also didn't mean for it to be this short, but it kind of felt like the right place to end. Anyway, enough rambling for now. This one's for twilightmecrazii. Please enjoy!
There was no hiding the hurt on his face. Dean never imagined that Castiel would ever lie to them, betray them like this; that he could ever do that to him. He thought that Castiel cared about him, as Dean had cared about him. Apparently he was completely wrong…
What hurt Dean the most was, surprisingly, not the fact that Castiel had lied about Crowley still being alive, but the fact that Castiel and Crowley were apparently sleeping together; this only being brought to his attention when Crowley kissed the angel rather passionately right in front of him…and the angel kissed him back.
"Cas…how could you do this to us? We trusted you..."
"I am sorry Dean…but this had to be done."
Dean looked between Castiel and Crowley, asking a silent question.
"You jealous of what we have?" Crowley smirked. "You took too long to make your move. He loves me now."
"It is true, Dean."
Dean looked into Castiel's eyes and saw none of the emotion in them that he used to see. For once Castiel didn't remind him of a naïve, innocent puppy. He realized that Crowley was right. He was too late. Castiel wasn't his Castiel anymore, and he never would be. Dean held back his emotions, continuing to look Castiel in the eyes, searching for any speck of who he used to be.
"Be happy while you can, Cas, because we will stop you." His eyes lingered for a moment more, not finding anything in the angel's eyes, then he looked down and walked away. Castiel looked down for a moment until Crowley spoke.
"Don't worry about them, love. They can't hurt us." Crowley told the angel, then walked the other way, with Castiel following.
So yeah...it sort of got away from me...but I still kind of like it. Please review! And leave some more requests for me if you'd like. I'm trying to get them done sooner than I have been.
