Kate Beckett-Castle looked at her husband holding their newborn son. Nicholas was only 3 days old and already his father's buddy.
Kate went to check on Alexis, who was in bed with the flu. Easing the door open, she saw that Alexis was sleeping peacefully.
Making her way back to where her husband sat, she sat down, smiling.
"What are you thinking about?"
"You. Nicholas. Alexis. I can't believe how lucky I am," she admitted.
Rick leaned over and kissed her. "We're lucky. We have an incredible family."
She nodded. "I love you."
He smiled. "I love you, too."
