Chapter 1
Gojyo's Point Of View
A/N: Another addition to my lovely " Gojyo and Hakkai Sitting On A Porch Arc". I really am just rambling on this one. I just really need to write, but can't come up with anything. Heh, so bare with me if it sucks arse.
Today was a strange day.
And the reason why it was strange, was because I was up before Hakkai. He was still sleeping, way into nine. And I was up. This was going to be a strange day.
So strange, last night I was so spaced out, I put my hair in a high ponytail. I look like a girl. But I was too dazed from sleep to care much.
Usually, Hakkai wakes up by his alarm. But I was sneaky and turned it off for him. He needed to lay back once in a while. And this was the only way to do it. By force. But, usually breakfast was ready by this time, so I decided to make myself some cereal.
I poured in the cereal, the the milk, then put the spoon in and walked out to the porch, ready to eat until...
" Gojyo?" Hakkai yawned, hopping up to look out the window above the porch.
" Yeah?" I asked, spooning some cereal into my mouth.
" What time is it?" He asked, rubbing his eyes.
" Time for you to get up." I smiled.
" Very funny, I'm serious." Hakkai groaned. " The sun's out already."
I glanced at him, then at my cereal. " It's not healthy to wake up before the sun is out. Nor is it very normal." There was a strong silence. " I wanted you to sleep in."
" That's very thoughtful of you Gojyo."
" Heh, I know." I grinned.
" So, I am assuming I have the day off." Hakkai smiled, walking out onto the porch next to me. He sat down close to me.
" If you want." I shrugged, popping another spoonful into my mouth. I cringed. " It's already soggy."
" I hate it when cereal does that." Hakkai said. I set the bowl down on the dirt ground. " Don't forget to pick that up." He said.
" I won't." I said.
" Your hair." Hakkai noted.
" I know, I look like a girl."
" Well, with that shirt you're wearing, you look rather attractive." Hakkai laughed.
" Ha, funny." I smiled. I turned my back to him and slowly laid my head in his lap.
" Gojyo?" Hakkai asked, looking down at me.
" Hmm?"
" Nothing."
" You know I hate it when you do that." I growled.
" Do what?"
I raised my voice one octave, " Gojyo? Hmmm? Nothing." I glanced at him. " I mean, if you were going to say something, why couldn't you just say it?"
" Because, I'm not quite sure how'd you react."
" Then do one of those hypothetical questions."
" Learning big words from me." Hakkai laughed. " Umm, okay." He said, pausing to figure out how to turn it into a question. " Say you're me."
" I'm Hakkai, I'm perfect at everything and prettier then anybody's mother. What's my problem?" I grinned.
" You have, special feelings for a friend."
" I'm Hakkai, I'm perfect at everything and prettier then anybody's mother. What's my problem? I have feelings for a friend."
" But, you don't know quite how to say it."
" Mmm, I don't really know how to go about it. But here's what I'd do." I said, sitting up. I took Hakkai's chin in my hand and rubbed the pad of my thumb against his lips. I leaned in to kiss him, but stopped, just centimeters away. " Kiss him, then, if he doesn't fall madly in love with you, he probably doesn't want you. But, that won't happen."
And I kissed him, openly and softly.
" Don't be scared." I whispered against his lips.
" I'm not." He whispered back.
It was a strange day indeed.
A/N: I liked the kiss scene, but the first part has no signifigance what so ever. I sucks major arse.
