After the defeat of Ultimecia and a lot of begging from Rinoa, Squall finally agreed to take her out on a date, just the two of them in a little romantic spot south of Deling City. Rinoa arrived an hour early, to set up her home made picnic. After an hour, she figured Squall would show up soon. But every passing minute he was late, she got a little madder. Finally, a little over an hour late for his own date, Squall arrived on foot.
Rinoa: Where were you?
Squall: I was here... Like i promised.
Rinoa: But.. I have been here for 2 hours. I haven't seen you until now.
Squall: I am always here.
Rinoa: Squall! That doesn't make any sense, stop avoiding my questions.
Squall: Im not
Rinoa: Yes you are!
Squall: Whatever...
Rinoa: Why wont you answer me?
Squall: But i am..
Rinoa: Not this again. *sigh*
Rinoa: Will you please tell me how you got here?
Squall: I rented a car.
Rinoa: Oh yeah.. Then where is it?
Squall: It ran out of gas.. Its over that hill... I walked to rest of the way.
Rinoa: Then you have been lying to me!
Squall: How so?
Rinoa: You said you are always here.
Rinoa: So how is that possible if you just told me you drove here and ran out of gas?
Squall: Because... I am always here.
Squall: In your heart Rinoa...
Rinoa just smiled happily and thought to her self "That's squall, always keeping people on their toes but letting them go softly"
Rinoa and Squall had a very good day together after that, A nice lunch, A long walk with not much talking but everything Squall said, Rinoa thought was sweet. After their time together had pasted, They said their good-byes the same way they always do. But with something a little extra, Rinoa leaned into Squall and kisses him on his cheek and whispered in his ear "Thanks for the lovely date" Squall blushed and said "Your welcome" then he turned around and got in his rented car *Which did have gas, He was just leading Rinoa on* and drove off.. Back to Balamb Garden, Which was parked near Timber. While Rinoa got back into her brand new light blue car that she made her father buy for her, since she helped save the world its the lest he could do for her. And drove off... Back to Deling City. Thinking of how wonderful the day was.
