A/N: This is sort of connected to Hospital. It's like a sequel to the story that wasn't supposed to have a sequel. It can stand on its own, of course, but I recommend that you read Hospital for some background. Love y'all.
Summary: Harry is finally released from St. Mungo's. He is believed to be a medical miracle, having lost his memory in the final war. As he begins to regain his memory, Draco takes him in. But there is more to Draco's generosity than meets the eye…

Harry could hear voices outside his room. At least, he thought he could, anyway. He could almost always differentiate the voices in his head to the real voices these days.
"He's getting his memory back, Weasley. The hospital says –"
"I don't care what the hospital says, or if she thinks you've reformed, Malfoy! I don't! I still think you're the Death Eater scum that was conveniently forgotten when the Aurors took over, just because you played the pathetic pity card." This voice was angry, louder than all the rest.
"By 'she', are you referring to myself or Miss Granger?" This voice was cold and female.
"I – no, ma'am, I meant Hermione," the angry voice was suddenly docile.
"I should be the one to take him," a new, male, voice said. It was quiet, reassuring, somehow, and meek. "Sirius always thought I should be the next guardian in line."
"Yes, what with Dumbledore conveniently dead – at the hands of the person that's lobbying to be Harry's legal guardian!" Angry man again.
"He should decide for himself who he goes with!" the cold female voice snapped.
The angry male voice retorted, "Yes, it's just oh so handy that he's lost his memory and can't remember who his friends are and who –" a significant pause "– Or who his enemies are."
"Enemies? Are you talking about yourself there, Ron?" Harry was getting lost in all these new voices. This one was female, and he could sense exasperation in her tone. "I mean, you're the one who's trying to keep him away from his lover!"
Harry was just pondering about which poor sod they were fighting over when the door burst open and five people walked in.
"Come on, Harry," one of them, a blonde, said, taking his hand and helping him out of bed. "It's time to go home."
Remus Lupin, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger and Minerva McGonagall watched, stupefied, as Harry got to his feet and wordlessly walked out the door with Draco.
"Hermione – D'you think… He remembers?" Ron asked vaguely, as the ding of the lift reached them in the ward.
"No, Ron," Hermione replied. "I just think that there are some things there that are stronger than his lack of memory. Something that magic can't get rid of."

"Harry, it's a new beginning," Draco said, leading Harry into the brilliant sunshine. "For you and me both."
Harry smiled at him with oddly blank eyes.
