1The sharp sound of a bullet cutting through the air, rippling space and time, stopping people dead in their tracks. The only thing worse than being shot is the man your out to kill, killing your unborn child. This is the worst pain a woman will ever feel, losing a child.
Time warp:
Ana Lucia slammed the alarm as if it rang with no end. Again she slammed down the alarm, not knowing that this would be the worst day of her life. She walked into the bathroom and brushed her teeth, her hair looked like a tumble weed in a hot desert.
The call came in, a runaway fugitive just held up a liquor store. This was the man they had been hunting for months, tracking his every move. But this was Ana's big break, she would finally get that chance to take a big bust job. Ana gratefully accepted not knowing that a life of sorrow and pain would come from one little "yes".
Her heart was pounding like the thunder of roaring ocean. She ran after the man like she would never stop. She was determined to catch this criminal. The man was wearing all black, and it was as dark out as the midnight sky on a hot summer night, no stars and the moon was covered with mysterious clouds. The man disappeared.
Ana Lucia felt as if the tight city walls were closing in on her, like she was trapped in a Burmese tiger trap, the walls caving in and nowhere to run. It was as if her entire life was flashing before her eyes, or as if she was going in reverse, remembering every good and bad detail.
Then it happened, she saw the man show his face, but he had a gun now. What will she do, her heart was beating as fast as a jaguar can run or as fast as a bullet could travel. Suddenly Ana was on the ground, her heart slowed to right before a stop, as if the entire world had ended right when the bullet had impact.
What did I ever do to deserve this? How could this happen to me?
For the rest of the time ana was on the ground all she could think about was her baby, Is my child, my only child still living, that's my life, everything I live for. God kill me now if my child is dead.
But Ana did not die. The killer never new that she had been pregnant, but that doesn't change anything now or make up for the loss that she suffered.
