A/N: Just a silly little one-shot to illustrate that Parvati and Padma Patil are different in nature. Well, I'd like you to think that's the point.
An Unpleasant Thought, At Best
(Zacharias Smith/Padma Patil)
There was a knock on the door. Parvati didn't open it immediately. "Who is it?" she called. In these troubled times, you couldn't always trust the people at your door.
"Zacharias," he said haughtily, as if security measures were beneath him.
Parvati Patil did not understand what her sister saw in Zacharias Smith. He was an arrogant little toerag if she had ever seen one.
She opened the door to let him in. Zacharias was about a foot taller than she was, and skinny and blond. He was decent looking, but Parvati could not fathom dating him.
"Is Padma here?"
"She'll be right down," Parvati said tersely.
A minute of awkward silence stretched, Zacharias surveyed the Patil house with interest, until Padma finally came down the stairs. She smiled at the sight of Zacharias, and when she reached where the two of them were standing, she kissed him.
Parvati walked away.
"I missed you," she heard the blond say to her sister.
Padma laughed and pulled Zacharias up the stairs and Parvati heard her bedroom door slam behind them.
Parvati wrinkled her nose up in disgust. Her sister snogging Zacharias bloody Smith was an unpleasant thought, at best.
