A/N: Yes, it's been done before. Whatever. Anyway, my first Kingdom Hearts fanfiction. We... won't talk about all previous fanfiction... eh heh heh...

He didn't know why the stranger's voice echoed in his head. Over and over and over. His ears were ringing and he didn't know why.
"Why!? Why do you have the Keyblade?"
And the stranger just sat there, not staring at him because there was a blindfold, but Roxas still felt as if he could see him.
That was what upset him the most. He looked at this strange, blindfolded boy just lying on the wet ground and something sparked inside of him – where his heart should have been.
He knew this boy. He knew him. He couldn't give him a name, but he knew that face.
His voice kept reverberating in his skull, and it hurt. It shouldn't have. He didn't have a heart, but something hurt.
Why did he have the Keyblade? What made him special? What made him Xemnas' special little Key of Destiny?
Destiny. That word sparked more feelings, and they hurt too.
He looked at the stranger, and it hurt
He thought, and it hurt.
He gripped his Keyblade harder, and it hurt.
"Shut up!" he burst out, lunging forward. Anything to make this stop.
But it didn't stop, and the stranger rose to attack him with his own weapon. Was that a Keyblade too?
Roxas didn't care. It didn't matter – so he attacked, and there was another spark inside his chest. Even fighting this boy felt strangely familiar.
What seemed like seconds later, the stranger was on his back again. Roxas was victorious. He should finish him off. Certainly that would made whatever this was stop.
He raised his Keyblade. He could end it now and never think of this encounter again. As he stood there, deadly still, Keyblade poised to finish it all, the boy turned his head towards him.
The Keyblade clattered loudly to the ground. He couldn't do it. His chest was hurting too badly.
He dropped to his knees and buried his face in his gloved hands as his hood fell back and he let out a scream of rage. What was wrong with him? He didn't have a heart to feel these things!
"Sora?" choked the stranger suddenly. His head snapped up. The boy was looking at him, an expression of hopeful surprise caught on his face. The blindfold was no longer on his face, but clutched tightly in his fist, and Roxas could now see the aqua eyes behind silver bangs.
But that name and those eyes triggered the biggest spark of all, and Roxas let out a strangled sob. He didn't notice the tears gathering in his eyes and making trails down his cheeks.
All he suddenly became aware of was the fact that he was now lying on the stranger's chest and kissing him, gloved hands cupping the pale cheeks. He knew this hurt, but it also felt good, so he kept kissing this strange, silver-haired boy.
He didn't know how or why, but this boy made him feel.
Roxas didn't know if he wanted it all to end and stop hurting… or if he wanted to feel more.
In the end he had pushed himself off his once-attacker and ran back to the castle. He didn't teleport; he didn't bother looking back. He just had to run away.
But the whispers of memories he never before had followed him the whole way back. They never really did leave him be after that.
