Author Note: This was actually a bit fun to write! It may not be my favorite Hermione/Guy pairing, but I found it interesting to be writing about this couple. The couple is Viktor/Hermione, and this is for the Rival Pairing Challenges. By the way, this is a tad Alternate Universe since I'm not necessarily following the Cannon Relationships
Fourth Year was definitely the most dramatic –yet it was also the best- year of Hermione Granger's life at Hogwarts. It had her clinging to her seat when she faced the fact that one of her best friends Harry Potter had to face a dragon, save Ron and Fleur's sister from the Black Lake, and battled Lord Voldemort. But there was also the fact that her friendship with Viktor Krum was sparkled into a beautiful romantic relationship that year, that made it the best.
Many fan girls of Viktor would kill to be in her shoes when she had been asked to go to the Yule Ball with him. But she hadn't said yes to get her spot in the fame –no she was already being gossiped about by supporting Harry and being one of his best friends-, no she accepted because she actually liked Viktor. And to be able to dance with him even for one night, seemed too good to be true.
And so she fancied herself up, making sure her elegant bun would hold for the night, making sure there were no troubles with her periwinkle robes, she waltzed out of her dorm, and gracefully entered his arms in the Entrance Hall. She had attained the stares of many boys, but only Viktor the boy she fell in love with was the one who held her gaze.
"Nervous?" He softly asked her. She shook her head and gently gave him a kiss, blushing a little at the fact Ronald Weasley walked by, and Harry's jaws dropped when he recognized who was on the arm of the best Seeker in the world. But she held her head high and proudly, as the Triwizard Tournament Couples regally entered the Great Hall.
As they began to dance, Viktor and Hermione had only eyes for each other, lost in the beautiful music, never swapping partners, only sitting down when to many other dancers had accidentally knocked into them, and their stomachs roared with hunger. Hermione smiled, ignoring the buzz of chatter from her classmates as she sat down at one of the tables –which one she'd never remember.
"Is tonight good enough Hermy-ninny?" Viktor asked Hermione, his Bulgarian accent lightly accentuating his words. Hermione laughed, playfully pushing him.
"Yes Viktor, tonight is simply marvelous." She whispered. He pulled her into a passionate kiss only moments later, and she smiled, dreamily glancing at her food. More moments like this, would soon fill her life and memories forever.
Now how is that for a Rival Pairing! :D, Did you like or dislike, I'm mentally preparing myself for the reviewers who will definitely complain of the fluff :D
