Author's note – I don't own the BSC or its concepts. I'm taking them out of their sandbox and playing with them in mine. Also first BSC fic in forever, so it's just a warm-up. I love commentary (bad or good). :-) Written for the bsc100 meme on lj.

"Alright class I'll see you tomorrow. "

Her hands moved as swiftly as the words she spoke. Who knew she would wind up teaching deaf children. In many ways Jessi always assumed like, so many others that her life was meant to be spent on stage. And it had been for a while.

'I guess I am still on stage.' Smiling as she looked around and saw tired, sweaty, excited children grabbing their bags. Others were signing away about the upcoming recital.

It was supposed to be a summer gig, as part of her master's degree in the Arts, "dance as a language for the deaf."

That was three years ago and I'm still here.' The Deaf and Blind Institute of New York had become home. Packing up, wiping down, and assessing the itinerary for tomorrow, Jessi could do nothing but smile.

Her mind wondered back to that long ago day when she met Matt and Haley Braddock. The idea of learning a new language excited and terrified her all at the same time. But Matt and Haley were easy children to love, and learn from. And learn she had. They gave her the courage do things she otherwise may not have; she brought to life something that day. The way Matt's eyes lit up when he saw her on stage. The excitement that his classmates felt at being able to take part in something. Their enthusiasm was truly tangible. It made her want to be the best Aurora the ballet Sleeping Beauty could produce. That moment never left her mind, if anything it made her want to bring that kind of light to others. Made her want them to feel the need to want.

Smiling once more to herself, judging by the increase in her class size, she had.
