She'd told him they'd be happy.
He'd been made to be her husband, and Coraline's new father. He was everything the 'real' him wasn't, made to be happy, and fun, while the real thing was sore and never had any time for his little daughter. He'd been made to make everyone happy. He'd tried.
She'd told him that they had to rescue their daughter from the world she lived in, that her 'real' parents were horrible and didn't love her. He'd been horrified. He'd wanted to save that little girl from her harsh life. He'd wanted to love her. She'd told him she was theirs.
He'd loved them both, his little family. He'd wanted them to be like this forever, happy and smiling. She'd told they could be, if Coraline wanted to. He'd been so happy, but his little girl had seemed so unhappy when Mother told her. All she had to do was let her sew the buttons and they could all stay together, Mother had told him, but maybe Coraline didn't want to. Hadn't he been a good father? He'd tried.
He wondered if Mother loved him. Had he done his job well? He didn't know. She didn't seem to like the way he looked now. He wanted to ask why. She'd made him this way, hadn't she? He tried to be the way she'd wanted. He'd tried.
They were both so unhappy. His little family was so unhappy.
She'd told him they'd be happy.

Well, I really loved the Other Father, and I figured he deserved a tribute. I know it probably turned out horrid, but I tried my best. Hope you guys enjoy and all.
