There were three friends sitting in the pub in the centre of Glasgow having a good time Chatting,laughing and drinking.
"I want to propose a toast to Nikki and her new job at Waterloo Road school as the head of the PRU. To Nikki" Lorraine smiled as she held her glass in the air
"To Nikki" Vix repeated and smiled
"Thanks guys" Nikki just blushed as she drank her drink
The evening went on and Vix could't stop looking at Nikki. She loves the way Nikki laughs and her smile is just perfect. "In fact everything about Nikki is perfect" Vix thought to herself. The evening had came to an end and the three friends went back to the house that they share together. They had known each other since school and since Nikki had left the army they had all decided to move up to Glasgow for a new adventure and non of them knew what was around the corner. Lorraine eventually became a successful businesswoman and is now Waterloo Road's benefactor. Vix had decided to set up her own jewellery shop with Lorraine's help and Nikki got her degree in English and started teaching.
The morning arrived and Nikki was rushing around making sure she had everything she needed for a days work and she began putting things into her bag.
"Pone check,keys check,purse check" Nikki said to herself
"Nik your talking to yourself again!" Vix called from upstairs
"Just making sure I have everything I need" Nikki said
"You do know talking to yourself is the first sign of madness. Anyway, why are you leaving so early?" Vix asked
"I want to make a good impression on my first day" Nikki replied as she put her jacket on
"Okay, good luck" Vix smiled as she gave her friend a hug
"Thanks" Nikki smiled then picked her bag up and headed out
Vix sighed to herself seeing the woman she loves heading out. She just wished she could tell Nikki how she really feels.
Nikki was driving along and soon approached the school Tom was coming in the opposite direction and started to indicate as he saw Nikki coming towards him. Tom was about to drive through the school gates and nearly collided with Nikki. Nikki was fuming, she got out of her car and went over to tom banging on his window. This made Tom get out of his car.
"What do you think your doing?" Nikki shouted at Tom which cause some students to gather around them watching
"I was indicating you obviously didn't see me!" Tom said
"I'm sorry, I just wasn't thinking straight" Nikki sighed
"First day?" Tom asked
"Yeah I'm the head of he PRU" Nikki replied
"So your Nikki Boston?" Tom replied
"Yeah" Nikki replied
"I'm Tom Clarkson Deputy Head, heard a lot about you from Lorraine" Tom smiled as he looked at Nikki
Nikki just blushed as she looked at Tom
"We better get moving or we will cause a traffic jam" Tom smiled which made Nikki chuckle
Tom let Nikki dive through the gates fist then followed her and parked his car next to Nikki's and got out of his car.
"Come on I will show you around and introduce you to everyone" Tom smiled at Nikki then headed inside
Nikki eyed up Tom before following him inside "This is going to be fun" she thought to herself.
