Chapter 1
Bella's POV
I sat on the Cullen's porch silently reading my favorite book, Romeo and Juliet. I can relate to the story a lot actually.
But that doesn't matter. What matters is that I'm actually bored about reading it for the hundredth time in so long. That thought surprised me. I'm never bored reading. I need a new book. I think I'll get one as soon as I've finished this book one last time before I donate it for good.
I turned my gaze back down to the words, only to see my book had disappeared. I quickly looked up as Emmett shut Romeo and Juliet. Without putting the bookmark in my place.
"Give that back!"
"Why? You just read it all day!" whined Emmett.
I glared at him viciously. "It doesn't matter why! Just give it back!"
"I don't want to so I don't think I will." Emmett announced stubbornly.
"If you don't give that back on the my count of three, I'll destroy your most precious video game!"
Emmett's eyes widened. "Not Bob!"
I stood up straight. "You name your games?! And with one of the most cliché names?!"
He looked down. "Yeah," he muttered.
I started giggling, then broke out full laughing.
"What?"
"That's - laugh- the - laugh- most ridiculous -laugh- thing I've ever heard of." I finished breathlessly.
I heard some faint yelling from the Cullen's home. "He's done worse!"
Emmett pouted. I thought I might cheer him up by showing him what I like to do to cheer myself up when I'm down. And I needed a new book anyway. Emmett might as well get rid of it. "Come on Em. We're going to the bookstore."
He looked at me funny. "Why?"
"To go look for books. Duh!"
He shrugged his shoulders and followed me to my car.
