Chapter 1
One day Luke is helping Rory and Logan move thier stuff out of Lorelai's onto the moving truck and Lorelai comes outside and sees their 5 year old daughter Maci sitting on the steps with her teddybear.
''hey Maci aww sweetie what's wrong?'' Lorelai asks her and sits next to her
''I dwon't want to move I lwike it hwere wif you and gwanpa and uncle Fwinn and Uncle Zach and Aunt Lane and Kwan and Stweve and my fwiends!'' Maci tells her
''aww sweetie I know this is hard for you but your going to make new friend's you should be excited about that!'' Lorelai tells her
''I dwon't want to make any new fwiends!'' she says angrily
''I bet you that your going to like California once you get there sweetie you will be living in a bigger better house with your own room so you and mommy don't have to share a bed anymore you bet your own space.'' Lorelai tells her
Maci just shakes her head
''sweetie we have been over this and I've showed you pictures of the new house and you liked it remember?'' Rory tells and questions her
''Hunnie.'' Lorelai says and shakes her head still trying to console her granddaughter without Rory making it worse
''you and I will still have contact with each other you can call me everyday if you want to sweetie.'' Lorelai tells her
Maci just shakes her head and holds into Lorelai and cries into her shoulder.
''shhh.'' Lorelai says and rocks her holding Maci's head to her shoulder comfortingly
''shh baby doll your going to be fine everything's going to be just fine.'' Lorelai tells her comfortingly trying to soothe her
