I walked in the door of Liam and I's apartment, smelling smoke. "Liam?" I called, startled.

"I'm right here." I heard Liam croak from in front of the fire he had started.

I walked up to him, and sat next to him. He didn't look my way, he seemed very focused on the crackling fire.

I shoved him playfully, trying to knock him out of his daze. Nothing. I get nothing.

"Liam, you're scaring me. Can you please talk to me? What's wrong, Lee?" I whispered, my lips against his ear.

Finally, I earned a shudder from him. He turned toward me, starting to shake.

"Lee, calm down. Shhh." I kissed his forehead.

"I can't… C-Cole. He d-died. Cole's gone. I k-killed him." Liam, always calm and under control started to stutter and gasp.

"Lee! Don't you dare think like that! Cole died on his own…" I stopped when Liam leaned down and cried into my lap.

He gasped and sat up straight again, hands pulling at his hair.

"Liam, Liam. Come on." I whispered. He was actually scaring me.

"Can't… I... can't breath." He shuddered.

I leaned forward, brushing my lips against his and then giving him a stronger kiss.

"What are y-you doing?" He coughed.

"Helping you hold your breath. I've heard from Chubs that helped."

"When did this topic come up with Chubs?" Finally, a smile.

"Anything can come up with Chubs." I huffed.
