Minecraftian: Reborn
A one shot by me. If you enjoyed leave a like. You'll need to be familiar with "Minecraftian" and "Steve of Minecraftia" by Joshua Mutter to understand this.
Steve stared at the ceiling of his cell. It'd been a long time since he'd seen the outside world. 40 years to be exact. He wondered what the world would be like now that it'd recovered from the Old Man Crisis. His best friend, Larry, had told him of how Stone Wall City had been rebuilt, bigger and better than ever. Apparently, the cities, towns, and villages of Minecraftia had fallen victim to bandits and griefers since then. So, in order to protect themselves, the villages and cities formed four clans to help protect each other, and look out for their fellow Minecrafters. Stories of what Steve had done had spread throughout the land. Some called him a hero. Others called him a threat. Steve had long since accepted that he nearly destroyed the world by giving the Old Man, er, the Minecraftian, a potion that gave him immense power. What's done was done, and it was best to move on. His friends, Larry and Evelyn, had helped him through that process. He could feel their friendship wavering, however, as they visited less and less over the years to take of themselves, and others who suffered at the hands of the Old Man. Was Steve a hero? He didn't know. All he knew was that the way the world looked at the Minecraftian wouldn't be the same. So, as Steve stared at his ceiling, he took in one last breath, and exhaled. If you had been by his cell, you could see colorful orbs float out of his body, and drift out of his cell into the world.
In a faraway village, a young couple was celebrating the coming of a new life. They had no idea what was in store for their son. Not yet. For now, they relished in the start of their family, and new life.
"Welcome to the world, my child", said the baby's mother. For now, they would just be normal. For now, his father won't have to worry about him fighting for his life and wondering if he was alive. For now, his mother won't weep that her child was taken away from her. That could wait. For now, they were normal.
Hope you enjoyed this short one shot. I might improve it later on, I might not. I could add on to it and make it a fully fledged story, but as of now I have no plans for that.
