The bright sun was shining down through the trees warm against my skin. I was walking through the Forbidden Forest and I knew I shouldn't. Not only because it was forbidden but also because I stood out like a sore thumb.
My bright blue hair and golden eyes that I could make sparkle like the sun would signal my presence to anything in the forest. My name is Teddy Lupin. My mum and dad died not long after I was born so I've lived with my grandmother, Andromeda, and my godfather, Harry Potter (yes, the Harry Potter).
A root lifted right in front of me and sadly I did not see it. Therefore, I tripped.
Stupid forest. Even the trees were alive.
I landed on my stomach but decide not to move. The ground was soft and comfortable right here so I just lay down.
The wind blew through the trees and blew the leaves in all directions. The sun sparkled on something a few feet away from where I lay. I stood up and walked over to where I saw the sparkle.
I leaned down and picked it up. It was a black stone. The stone was cracked and had a few scratches. (Anyone want to guess what it is?)
I picked it up and tossed it into the air and caught it again.
There was something strange about the stone but I couldn't figure it out.
Oh well, I should probably head back to the castle. I thought. I held the stone in my hand, turning it. I thought about my mum and dad and how I wished that I could have seen them.
Something cracked in the trees to my right, breaking me out of my thoughts. I pulled my wand out and pointed it in that direction. Something pale, almost transparent, stepped out of the trees. It was a woman. I squinted.
No, it couldn't be.
"Mum?" I asked.
The figure nodded.
Another one stepped out.
"Dad?"
He smiled.
"Teddy," his mum said.
"How can I see you?" he asked.
"You're holding the resurrection stone," his dad explained. "If you stop holding it, we will disappear. Only you can see us."
"We're sorry that you had to grow up without us, Teddy. I'm sure you've been kind to your grandmother?" his mum said.
"I love you mum, you too dad." He smiled at his parents.
"We love you too, Teddy." His dad smiled and Teddy pocketed the stone. His parents vanished and he headed back to the castle.
Teddy didn't know that he had found the very thing that his godfather had never wanted anyone to find.
