Finally, the camp will be getting a new camper. David, is more excited than ever. Max, Nikki and Neil are waiting with him, eager to meet their new friend. The bus finally arrives, and a girl with long curly orange hair and blue eyes walks out of the bus. It almost looks like if she's been crying. David goes to greet the new camper. "Welcome to Camp Campbell! You must be Harper". Harper doesn't look at the eager camp counslar, but nods. Max, intrigued, walks up to Harper. "Get out of here while you can". He whispers. The new girl just looks at max but doesn't say anything. "Hey, can you even talk?" Nikki curiously says. "Yes" replied Harper. "Well Harper, you are just in time for our morning activity!" David says. "Follow me kids!" Harper slowly walks behind the group. "Today, since we have a new camper, we will be talking about why we are here, and what we like to do!" Explained David. "Harper you can go first!" "Oh uh, I'm not sure why I'm here."says Harper. "Oh! Well I'll go and get your files!" David said. After every one introduced themselves, David came back with Harpers files. "Oh.." "Harper I'm so sorry.. I didn't know" Said David. "It's fine, don't worry about it". Said Harper, but everyone could tell something was wrong. Harper was now historically crying. "My family got murdered, then they sent me to a foster home, but they abused me. I wanted to die. I went to another foster home, they hated me so they sent me here." "Oh.. Harper that is.. terrible." David apoligectally said. Harper soon ran off. "I want to die!" She kept saying over and over again. "I want to die!" David ran after her. "Harper! Please we can help you!" Harper, was now sitting on the warf. "Why does everyone hate me?" She questioned. "Hey, I don't hate you." Max said. "You wouldn't understand." "I know I don't have it as bad as you, but my life sucks too, but trust me, it will get better." Max gentally said. "Come on, lets go back."
"Oh, Harper! Thank heavens you are safe!" David said. That afternoon, the camp counseller tried to get Harper intrested, but no luck. Instead she just sat in the corner, crying.
