Cruel and cold, like winds on the sea

Will you ever return to me?

The sound of a woman's voice singing gently came from atop a cliff overlooking the sea as a ship was set a sail, its deceased occupant receiving the watery burial he had requested upon his death.

Hear my voice, sing with the tide

My love will never die.

She continued singing as the waters began to move a bit more roughly beneath the boat, the wooden structure creaking and groaning as the waves began to crest higher beneath it.

Over waves and deep in the blue,

I will give up my heart for you.

As she sang she began to sway her hips and raised her arms to the sky, dark grey storm clouds beginning to form in the previously clear blue sky.

Ten long year I'll wait to go by

My love will never die.

By now a mighty storm began to rage, the sky turning pitch black as thunder boomed overhead and lightning pierced the sky with its bluish white brightness, the sea broiled and rolled beneath the boat before a mighty maelstrom began to form beneath it, the ship slowly beginning to spin with the water and slowly sink beneath the depths.

Her voice became harder, more emotional than before, sounding nearly angry but yet was full of loss and sorrow.

Come, my love, be one with the sea

Rule with me for eternity.

Drown all dreams, so mercilessly

And leave their souls to me

With the ship having disappeared beneath the waves, the maelstrom slowly dissipated, although the sea continued to rage in the storm.

Play the song you sang long ago

And wherever the storm may blow

You will find the key to my heart

We'll never be apart.

At this point the ship burst forth from beneath the waters, rocking violently in the sea before weathering the storm.

Wild and strong, you can't be contained

Never bound, nor ever chained

From aboard the ship, the captain would gasp as he lived once more sitting up amongst his worldly possessions he looked to the sky then to the surrounding area, noticing the cliff in the distance, and just barely able to make out the silhouette of a woman as the storm slowly began to dissipate.

Wounds you caused will never mend

And you will never end

The captain got to his feet as the storm died down, staring longingly into the distance where his love was performing.

Cruel and cold, like winds on the sea

Will you ever return to me?

The storm was completely gone now, the waters calm once again and the sun shining brightly in the cloudless sky. The woman ceased her movements as she stared out at tthe ship, hands held clasped loosely together over her heart.

Hear my voice, sing with the tide

Our love will never die.

(A/N: So, I found these lyrics on a YouTuber's channel, Fialeja, she is the one who wrote and sang them to Davy Jones's theme. This is the scene I saw in my head as I listened to them. It involves a different take on the whole Calypso cursing Davy Jones legend. Instead of doing it to spite each other or to mean, or however the legend goes exactly, this involves her only wanting him to stay around, she's aware of the ten year wait before he can step onto dry land, but still gives him and the Flying Dutchman a watery rebirth if only to know they can one day be together again.)
