A/N: I'm on a roll today. I hope :). Anyway bloopers off Youtube spurred this one on!
In a world of cards and dice, where types of tea were strong narcotics and the flavours that of emotions, Hatter had prospered. His charlatan ways and eye for business, with any means necessary had propelled him into running a smooth business that allowed secret operations – giving the masses what they wanted and craved meant big business, especially how much Teas cost.
But Hatter wasn't there anymore. The teas were outlawed, and he knew while he could make it big on the black market, he didn't want to. He didn't even want to be in Wonderland anymore. He didn't want to see any mindless or confused Oysters.
He wanted Alice and only Alice. The Alice that could kick his arse if she needed to, and the Alice that was terrified of heights.
She was the One, his One. He needed her. Now.
With barely any thought he bid goodbye to Charlie the White Knight a hurried bow to Jack and leapt through the window after her. When he rolled back into the Human world he nearly landed on her. She'd collapsed on the floor of the half made building and was out for the count. He posed as a construction worker to save her life.
When she woke, he was there as soon as possible, or allowed.
When they touched, he finally felt that little piece of him, the piece that had been filled by gambling, easy girls, and tea finally whole.
"You have no idea how happy I am to see you." His face said otherwise. He felt complete as her lips pressed to his.
"I missed you."
Still makes me choke up every time I see that ending :') ahh happy tears.
