Mara stands there. The breeze making her dark brown hair blow all over, most of the time getting caught in her face. Today, she had decided not to straighten her hair, it wasn't worth it. She didn't even really care what she wore as long as it was somewhat presentable and screamed Mara.

what are you doing? She hears. She doesn't even bother to turn to face it.

"I don't know." she says in a light she is telling the truth as She really doesn't know.

Mara pulls at her red sweater as the wind picks up; trying to think about what she was doing. But her mind is so full that it's almost impossible. It's gotten to the point where she can't even tell how long she had truly been there. It could be from five minutes to two hours for all she knew. But she hopes it's only five minutes, because she knows Fabian will be awake if the latter.

Mara.
She shakes her head. "Stop."

Mara, you know what you're doing right now. You're not stupid.

"Stop it." She whispers.

No.

It feels as if someones right behind her; ready to grab her at any moment, and she hates it.

"Get away from me."

No.

She feels anger bubble inside of her. Deep inside. She just wants to turn and confront him but she knew that's what he wants. He wants the satisfaction of stopping her and making her see him. And she knows she won't be able to stand it.

Nothing else to say Jeffray?

She fists at her sweater; a scowl setting upon her face.

"Mara?" She hears someone yell. She backs up a bit; closer to the man aggravaiting her. She knows she has almost no time. She needs to think but she can't.

So she turns. And sees a man she hasn't seen in more than five years. His long blonde hair stays absolutely still even though the wind is strong and his ice blue eyes are as piercing as ever.

I knew temptation would overwhelm you.

"Shut up Clarke." She spats. "How's being six feet under?"

Hurtful. He places his hand on his chest in fake hurt. It's still a sensitive topic to me.

And Mara lets out a chuckle. Normal Jerome. HIs sarcasm still strong even in the afterlife.

"So what are you doing here?"

He steps closer to her. I might ask the same question to you.

"I am-" but she stops because she doesn't know, but he sees right through her.

You know, you just won't admit to it.

"No." She says quickly. "I'm escaping."

From what? he steps closer scaring Mara a little, worrying that he'll try to touch her. Fabian treats you well, you have a stable job, you have great friends, your family is still intact and in good health. And you have me, watching you all from above.

She stares at him for a second and takes him in. She wants to slap, hug, and kiss him at the same time but she's too afraid to touch him.

"Exactly." Jerome's eyebrows knit together in confusion. And then the door to the top of the building flings open; flying right through Jerome's body. But Mara steps closer to the edge.

"Mara, what are you doing?" Fabian yells. He's crying and she feels gulity.

She ponders for a second and replies. "I'm sorry for escaping."

And she steps back a little more as Fabian replies back a simple, "What?"

She sees Jerome step next to her, but Fabian can't, and even if he could his eyes were filled with tears and targeted on Mara.

"Exactly." She whispers as she lets her body drop; watching Fabian trying to grab at her falling form but missing by about an inch.

Jerome grabs her hands, blocking Fabian's form from view. The sky is getting farther and farther away but Jerome is now her main focus.

She feels a pressure and then a floating sensation.

I got you.
