Martin was sitting in front of the fireplace, wrapped in the thickest, cosiest blanket Marvin could find in their house. Diana and Jenni had gone out to get some more decorations for their Annual Christmas Celebration Party Bash (Diana and Jenni's words), as well as some medicine for Martin as he's been sneezing nearly every second. That's what he gets for trying to compete with Marvin at snowboarding. Totally worth it in Martin's point of view, despite the fact that he clearly lost and the snow had gotten everywhere during and after their so-called match.
Martin sneezes again, tissue in hand as he hears Marvin laugh behind him, a mug of hot chocolate in his hand.
"Shut up, Marvin. And don't give me that 'I told you so' crap, because I'm no—ATCHOO!"
Marvin shakes his head, still chuckling at the blond idiot in front of him.
"I'll save the 'I told you so's' for later then," he says with a smile as he gives Martin the hot chocolate. Martin takes the mug grumpily and takes a big gulp. It was like having a warm hug inside, soothing all his sinuses. Marvin was trying his best to comfort him, sitting next to Martin by the fire.
"You know you didn't have to go through all this for me" Martin starts as he lifts up his mug of hot chocolate in gratitude, and shuffling his blanket to be more comfortable. Marvin had even gone the extra mile giving him a jumper, fluffy socks, fluffy slippers and a pair of gloves before the hot chocolate.
"I dunno - I can't help but feel it was all my fault that you're like this."
"You got that right!"
Now it was Martin's turn to laugh as he sets down his mug from a safe distance as he realised Marvin's reaction from such accusations. Marvin then starts to hit him playfully, only to have Martin fall on his back from the pushes and shoves - both laughing as the result of the rough tumble. But as Martin looks up at the ceiling, his smile dissolves and replaced with a contemplative expression on his face. Marvin stops giggling and looks at Martin with some concern.
"What's wrong?"
Martin sits up and gently pulls Marvin to his face, lips meeting into a short but sweet and tender kiss. Pulling away, but still at a close distance, Marvin was surprised at the sudden act, slightly blushing from the sweet gesture. He looks at Martin, whose hand is still on his cheek only to be pulled in again for another kiss - one that lasted longer that the first and with much more passion. Martin pushes their lips together harder, moving his hand from Marvin's cheek to the back of his neck. Martin flicks his tongue at Marvin's lower lip, only to be granted entrance to start caressing the other's tongue. Marvin unconsciously pulls Martin's hair softly, earning a soft moan from the one who initiated the kiss.
Breaking the kiss for air, Marvin exclaimed between breaths: "What. Was that. For?"
Martin responds with laughter after they both caught up with their breathing.
"If that's your idea of a 'thank you', then I should be nice more often," Marvin then chuckles.
Martin shakes his head, smiling at Marvin, and points at the ceiling.
"Mistletoe."
