Observation.
T: This is my first gaunt into the fandom but not my first fic so don't be afraid of making constructive criticisms! This drabble is part of a experimental group of multi series fics centred on the seven deadly sins and thus is a little lax as far as plot goes!(For the other parts please look at my bio!) There is also a great deal of angst and slash here so beware! I do not own Descendents of Darkness, something that is a cause of great misery to me!

I see the way you look at him.
You hide it well, of course, but still I see it.
Why can you not look at me like that?
We are the same, after all.
Perhaps it is because his scars are more easily hidden or because he can touch you, react to your care, without fear.
Perhaps it is because he is living still, because one day he will be old enough to give you everything you need.
If you looked at me as you looked at him then I would try to change…
I would push away my bitterness and give you everything that I have in my power to give to you.
I wish, so desperately, to tell you these things, to open out my soul to you and yet…
I am not him…
No matter how akin our faces and our scars I am not him.
I know that he can be so much more to you than I am…know that he could help you banish your demons and move on from whatever darkness you keep locked in your heart.
It is because I know these things that I treat him as I do…that I refuse to help you, to be at your side as your partner, even though that is all that I wish for.
I wear my mask too well for you to understand that that is the case, however…
That, if not for the bitterness of my envy, I would be there with you still.
I apologise for that fact, Tsuzuki and somehow I shall make it up to you.
Yet, for the moment, I can not let my envy go.
Can not pretend to view him as anything other than a rival.
