when the servant kitsu challenged the fire nation lord to an agni kai she wasn't expecting to loose her voise and become a silent bender that can bend the elements of fire and water and becoming a fugitive and living among the southern water tribe and meeting the avatar. all she wanted was a quiet life now she wants to make sure the gaang is safe and unharmed

A white haired child stood on an iceberg watching as a fire nation ship floated by. This child was known as the silent duel

bender Kitsu. Now despite looking like a young boy Kitsu was indeed in fact a girl and she knew how to bend both fire and

water. When Kitsu was much younger (say 8 or 9 now she is about the same age as Zuko is when the show starts maybe a

few months older) she fled her home land of the fire nation and away from the fire lord she once served under as a slave

and fled to the southern water tribe. The very second she saw the fire nation ship float bye, she caught a look at prince

Zuko(and yes they are cousins her father was Zuko's mothers brother) and Kitsu smiled a sad smile seeing her cousin after

so many years of being a fugitive living among the southern water tribe. Now why was Kitsu known as the silent duel bender

well…..Kitsu was silent because she went up against the fire lord in retaliation and she lost her voice thanks to a painful fire

blast to her throat and the blast burned a hole right to her vocal cords and severely damaged them to the point where they

were not useable any more. Now as to why she is now called the duel bender. Kitsu can bend two elements plain and

simple she can bend two out of all four elements though thought impossible. Kitsu bends both fire and water but she

practiced water bending in secret in the fire nation until she was able to heal her neck wound from her short battle against

the fire lord but her vocal cords she was not able to heal she did try to heal them but she only learned to heal wounds on

the outside of the body. Now that Kitsu is well free and living among the southern water tribe she was free to show her

water bending but it changed when her two friends Sokka and Katara bring home an air bending monk that is named aang.
