Hey! So I know I haven't updated in forever, but school's been extremely busy. Okay, that excuse sounded lame to me too. :)

Reyna stepped out of the shower and enjoyed the feeling of being clean for the first time in days. It almost made her feel normal. She looked in the mirror and traced her finger over a scar that hadn't been there a day ago. There was also a lack of her pegasus, which reminded her that the trip had taken place. She choked down a sob at being reminded at the loss of Skippy.

A knock came at the door. Annabeth's voice sounded from the other side of the door. "Reyna, come to the stables once you're done. We're meeting there. If you need to, you can borrow some of my clothes. We're about the same size."

"Okay, thanks."

Reyna changed into a pair of jeans and a clean t-shirt. She stepped out into the hallway, missing the protection of her golden armor. Without it, she felt vulnerable and exposed. She shook of those thoughts and headed down the hallway, almost immediately bumping into the person she wanted to see the least, with the exception of that Leo Valdez.

"Oh, sorry Reyna. You okay?"

Reyna attempted a smile. "Fine." She made to walk past him but he grabbed her hand, making her turn back to look at him.

"What?" she snapped.

"Reyna, I want to apologize for...everything, I guess."

She raised an eyebrow. "You guess?"

Jason run a hand through his hair, frustrated. "No, I don't guess. I mean, I'm sorry for leaving and then coming back with Piper-"

"Why would I care about that?" she interrupted, lying through her teeth.

"You care because I led you on. Reyna, I thought I had all my memories back, but I never drank gorgon's blood like Percy. The night before I disappeared, I kissed you, didn't I?"

Reyna bit her lip, feeling so much smaller than she was. "I don't remember."

"You're not the one who had amnesia, Reyna. Please."

She wasn't sure what made her tell him, but she did. "Yes, you did. And the next morning you were gone."

Jason was silent for a moment. "I really do love Piper, I'm sorry."

"Don't be. I'm over it." Maybe saying it aloud had helped, but Reyna really was over Jason. "Besides, I've got a war to stop and an auger to catapult."

Jason smiled and nodded, looking like the weight of the sky had been lifted off his shoulders. "You're still my best friend, Reyna. You know that right?"

Reyna smiled. "Of course."

Jason took a deep breath before speaking again. "Good luck on your quest."

He hugged her and she stiffened before wrapping her arms around him.

"Stay safe, Reyna."
