Belle woke up with the sound of the bell and the loud slam of the door. She blinked, confused, seeing the daylight come in through the window, and then remembered the spell. Rumple must have put her to sleep until it could be broken, because all she could remember were the pieces of glass failing through the vent and then nothing.

"Henry got away." she heard the voice coming from the other room, and the accent made it impossible not to recognize who was speaking. She frowned. What was Hook doing here? Talking to Rumple? And about Henry!

"So you failed. At kidnapping a child." Kidnapping? What the––

"Well, perhaps you could say my heart wasn't in it."

"The Snow Queen's plan also failed. But mine won't. Enjoy the snow fall, dearie. It'll be your last." Belle froze, dread uncurling from her stomach and spreading through her whole body. He hadn't... He couldn't have…

"Then grant me one dying wish."

"I'm not in the business of making deals with you anymore."

"Leave Emma and the rest of Storybrooke be. There's no need to harm them."

"When I step over that town line with my magic intact, Emma and the rest of Storybrooke have nothing to fear from me. As long as they don't get in my way. But I can't make that same promise to the rest of the word."

The little bell and the door slamming again actually made the librarian flinch. There was a deep sigh and once again the door indicated someone leaving. She couldn't believe it. From what she had heard, Rumple was planning on kidnapping Henry and then take the boy and her out of town. After doing some sort of spell to be rid of the dagger, obviously, and something very powerful in order to be able to have magic beyond the town line. And he was going to get rid of anyone who got in his way (and let's face it, Regina and Emma would definitely be in the way). And also, he planned on terrorizing the rest of the world. And if Hook had been in the shop and doing what Rumple ordered him to do… then it meant… then it meant Rumple had taken the pirate's heart.

Trying to collect herself, Belle wiped her tears, grabbed her coat and left through the back door, hoping Rumple thought she was still sleeping and didn't come looking for her for a while. She found everybody celebrating on Main Street and quickly searched for Emma. She was hugging Henry and talking to Elsa, Anna, Regina and her parents.

Emma was half listening to the cheerful conversation around her and half looking around for the dark mess of hair and blue eyes that belonged to Killian. Now that the spell was lifted and the town was no longer in danger, the bad feeling she'd gotten from their last kiss was coming back and making her anxious. Trying to convince herself that he had just cuffed himself to the docks – as he'd said he would – and just couldn't get free, she was about to excuse herself and go looking for him when Belle came up to them, panting and seeming to have run here from the pawnshop.

"Emma! You need to come with me!"

"Oh, slow down, Belle! Catch your breath. We defeated the Snow Queen, what's wrong?"

"It's Rumple. I think… he's going to kill Hook."
