Mystery of a Kitten

Kisuke watched as his little cat friend slinked into the shop, went around back, and changed back into a human like she hadn't been gone for a month. She was able to get away for it too; had it been anyone else Kisuke would've attacked them or threatened them, but this was Yoruichi. First of all Kisuke wasn't entirely sure he'd be able to win, and second, that woman had always done what she liked and whenever she liked it, and, being her best friend, he got used to it. He began to think on just how mysterious and wonderful his long-time friend was. In fact she'd kept secrets from him since their first meeting.
The first time he met her she was on a beach. She had her fancy dress all crinkled up and she was sitting in front of her beach house looking all upset. He went over to see what was wrong; he was after all one of her many servants. He was the one that tended to the princess's every need like holding up an umbrella and fetching her for food. Everything from buying ice cream to brushing the royal hair was his job. It wouldn't be right for a servant like him to leave his little princess so devastated. He put on his goofy smile and went up to her and asked what was wrong.
Yoruichi- Wrong? Why would something be wrong?
Kisuke- You look upset and you're blushing. Look let's get you inside princess. Oops.
The next second a fist connected to his face. GOD! She hit hard! He knew it was coming though and had braced for it. It was a deadly sin I the household to call the head family by any other name than those that ended in a –sama. Princess was also lady Yoruichi's dreaded nickname that she had forbidden anyone to use, and although the rule was ridiculous it was said by the lady so it was followed. Kisuke had just broken two important rules and was an inch away from begging for his life, but the lady did something he'd never expect. Right after punching him Kisuke got right back up to face his punishment. He had expected nothing short of a beating when instead the lady looked at him and smiled.
Yoruichi- Heh not gonna run huh?
Kisuke- No Yoruichi-sama that wasn't my intention. It's taking all my energy to keep my knees from giving in though. No weakness, that is abhorred here.No weaknesses.
Yoruichi- Oh don't be so stiff. You're just a kid let loose.
Kisuke- Me? You're the same age as me y-… I apologize Yoruichi-sama. Oh man I'm in for it now.
Yoruichi- Did you just yell at me?
Kisuke- Erm…I uhh
Yoruichi- Well, well whatdya know? Little Kisuke has some spunk afterall. Tell you what, if you think you can work up the nerve to do that again and prove to me you actually have personality left in that scared little scrap then meet me here tomorrow morning got it? If I'm happy you'll be rewarded…probably.
Kisuke- I understand my lady.
Yoruichi- I have a name you know. It's a perfectly good name. Use it tomorrow 'kay?
Kisuke- …yes…
Yoruichi- Don't make me regret this.
It wasn't until Kisuke had gotten back to his room that he realized that the princess had never really answered his question. His first mystery surrounding the woman was solved twenty long years later when Yoruichi finally confessed after much poking and prodding that she had, at the time, been scared of the dark and was unable to sleep. For that bit of info Kisuke lost usage of both eyes for two weeks and his choice of any one out of fifty nasty ways to die if he ever told anyone.
