AN: Hello everyone! This is my very first time writing anything, so please bear with me.
This was an idea of mine awhile ago. I had the inspiration from a song I once did at a band concert. I was originally going to make this a comic, and since at the time all I was good at drawing was cats, I used cats. However, I now feel I might be able to do better justice if I write it in text with humans. We will have to see how it proceeds. Anyway, here is the Prologue! I hope you enjoy it!
It's at times like these where death really hits you. Most people say it's quite the freeing experience. I for one, have to slightly disagree with this statement. I wasn't done with life yet. I wanted to continue onward, to be able to do what I had planned. But instinct had kicked in, and that's why I jumped. Now, all I feel is a cold blackness.
I had to jump though, or else he would have died. I couldn't let that happen, no matter what. The feeling of that blade entering my abdomen is nothing to be desired though. It's left me in this state of mind, where everything is black, and only little wisps of consciousness creep at the brink of my existence. I can hear the echoes in the real world, hear the struggle.
I also hear the crying.
There must be some mourning going on. They must've dragged me to the edge, where no further harm could come to me or those around me. Gosh, the crying is unbearable to hear. I wish I could comfort you. Tell you I'm fine, but I can't feel anything. Please, stop your crying.
Suddenly, however, I feel the presence of five beings creep into those wisps at the edge of my mind. The next thing I know, it feels like fire is coursing through my whole body. I want to scream, the agony is so great. Then, there's the feeling of water coursing through me. It both soothes the fire, and sweeps me up into its hazardous depths. Then I feel as though I'm being crushed by boulders and other forms of the earth. After that, lightning pricks at my skin and body. The shock of it is like that of the fire. The air soon follows, making it seem as if I'm being swept off of the highest cliff. The agony of all of these feelings brings me back to consciousness for a second, and I see the surprise on their faces. Then…
Nothing….
