Disclaimer: Nope I don't own Persona 4 or Disgaea. I highly recommend to listen to this while reading: Hour of darkness - Disgaea

Chapter 1: Darkness

Yomi, a dark, haunted place full of…filthy creatures that prowled in the dark. One lone goddess dressed in white sat on an oily black bounder. The place screamed of despair, sadness and death. Izamani ran a white bone comb through her delicate grey locks. Where she sat there was a choir of female singers, their voices floated to her cave where she taken refuge ever since her death and rejection… Her brother and most importantly her husband had abandoned her to let her rot. She can still remember the day where they promised each other to be together for all eternity.

She closed her ruby eyes letting the music sink into her already dark soul. There was a non-existing wind that kissed her face, memories upon memories flashed back unwilling back into her mind. When they first met…A sad smile appeared on the goddess' thin lips. She had broken the first rule of marriage, resulting two defect births. A peaceful demeanor was rare to have in Yomi. With all the screaming, yelling and war between other gods and goddess had descended here. She can still remember the world she and her husband had created, the land of Japan as the humans had started to call it. She still remembers her husband, Izanagi who was always full of life.

The memories faded as the singers fell silent; one lone tear craved her thin face then splashed on the rock. Loneliness crept into her heart again as the air was void from song. Her pale human hand had transformed into a red skeletal which she gently grasped a dying rose from the decaying ground. She held it close to her face, blowing it until it was ash. Ever since she was sent here…and when Izanagi had abandoned her; her view on humanity and life had jaded each passing day. Her stay in Yomi had given her into a cynical view on life. Each day she watched the inky black landscape, unlike the world above her which she mused was colourful thanks to her husband's hard work on it. She and Izanagi were so similar yes different from each other. He is the god of life while she…is the goddess of death. He bathed in light and truth and she was cloaked in darkness and deceit.

a/n: I hope my first take on i-tunes/playlist challenge had gone well. Rules are simple; just play your MP3/I-pod on shuffle mode and play ten songs (which are ten chapters) and write about anything that is related to the song. It can be any pairing, genre and character.

So….therefore I issue a challenge to all Persona series fanfic writers.

Have fun!
