Hi there! :) Lieutenant Nightwing reporting!
I don't really know whether to place this as prose or poetry, so I guess you could call it a combination of the two. It was inspired not only by my love of Abel + Esther pairings (they really do make a cute couple ^-^), but also by my love of the ending credits to the anime, which, if you ask me, are probably the most beautiful of any that I've seen.

Memories Too Sweet To Be Forgotten
I stand here...
...alone...longing...
I knew from the start this wouldn't last...
...but I wish it had...
You may be gone...
...yet I still feel your presence...
Wait...
...was that?...
"Esther?..."
..."Yes"...
...no...it's only what I want to hear...
...but still...
Your kind voice still rings in my ears...
...I remember...
You were the one who held my hand in times of trouble...
I reach out to you...but you're so far away...
...forgotten...falling...broken...
...yet still, you hold me close...and whisper,
..."I'm always on your side"...
...and it lets me know you're with me...
...I know you are there...
..."Father..."...
But it's all a memory now...
...only to be forgotten...
...scattered away like sand on an ancient wind...
...yet...so sweet...like rose petals to the skin...
How could one forget something as wonderful as this?
"Why?..."
I stand there tearfully...
...a single rose now resides where you lay...
...I can't stay long...
...I'm needed elsewhere...
"Goodbye...Father...I...miss you..."
I'm really hoping this turned out well, considering I was up all night on a caffeine hype (note to self: no Diet Coke before bedtime E-VUR again! .)
