My arrival in Sunnydale was no big thing, Just a move to get away from the memories of LA. My past I wanted to erase. I started today at Sunnydale High. No big thing, another school, another town. A new experience as my dad once said. I was17 years old. My mom was from England. She was always gone on "family business" as my father had called it. My father always said that I reminded him so much of her. My long black hair, pale skin and eyes of fire. But now my dad was gone. he died a few years ago leaving my sister, Gabby, as we called her, and me to the care of our grandmother. And that's why I have come to Sunnydale. To live.
"Adrian," I heard my name being called.
"What?"
"We're here, at Sunnydale High," my sister said with a smile on her face. We were three years apart. I was 17, an adult in my eyes, and she was 14, just at the beginning point of her life.
"Yeah Gabby we are here."
I looked over the high school. It seemed dead, lifeless although kids piled in like sheep. Gabby and I stared up at the school. I felt a push from behind and saw Gabby's books fall to the ground.
"JERK," I heard a voice behind me as I knelt down to pick up Gabby's books. A hand appeared to help. I looked up to see a young blonde haired girl helping me out.
"I'm sorry. Alex is so rude. I'm Dawn Summers."
"I'm Adrian Nemesis and this is my sister, Gabby"
Dawn shuck our hands then looked at Gabby then back to me. "Funny you don't look like sisters."
It wasn't a lie. Gabby and I looked nothing alike. Her hair was long and wavy not to mention red. Her eyes were brown and her voice was soft. We did, however, dress similar.
"You're new here aren't you," Dawn asked.
"Yes we are," my sister said softly.
"Why don't I show you guys around," Dawn said as she handed Gabby a notebook.
"It's okay really. I think we can find our way around," I said glaring at Gabby.
"Adrian I see no harm in it. I mean what's the worst that could happen," Gabby pleaded.
"Fine you win! But if things get weird we bail!"
Gabby grinned in
